1. يا طالباً رحمةَ الله

    سلم أمورك لله

    O seeker of God's mercy,

    Entrust your affairs to God.

  2. وقل بصدِق وجدٍّ

    الله الله الله

    And say with sincerity and earnestness:

    God, God, God.

  3. ولذّ به وتأدب

    فانت في حضرة الله

    And seek refuge in Him, and show proper courtesy,

    For you are in God's presence.

  4. فقد ظَفرْتَ بِكَنْز

    وكل فضفلٍ من الله

    For you have gained a treasure,

    And every bounty is from God.

  5. واشدُدْ يدَكْ عليه

    فقطب أسماءِ الله

    And grip it firmly with your hand,

    For it is the axis of God's names.

  6. والزم حضوراً بقلبٍ

    إذا نطقت بالله

    And maintain presence of heart

    When you utter 'God.'

  7. ففيه سُكرٌ خَفِيٌ

    يَدْرِيه من ذَكَرَ الله

    For in it is a hidden intoxication;

    Whoever remembers God knows it.

  8. وسلم على الكون وارْقُصْ

    بقولِك الله الله

    And salute the universe, and dance

    As you say, 'God, God.'

  9. واطْربْ على ذاكَ واشرب

    خمرةٌ ذِكرِكَ الله

    And be enraptured by that, and drink

    The wine of your remembrance of God.

  10. هذه عندي حياةُ

    لا موت منها بالله

    This, to me, is life;

    No death comes from it, by God.

  11. ينيلها لكَ شيخاً

    قد قام لله لله

    A shaykh grants it to you—

    One who has indeed arisen for God, for God.

  12. وَسَلم لهُ وتحيا

    في رضاهُ ورضى الله

    And surrender to him, and you will live

    In his good pleasure and God's good pleasure.

  13. وصَلى ربي وسلم

    على الدليل على الله

    And may my Lord send blessings and peace

    Upon the guide to God:

  14. أحمدْ خيرُ

    ليغني شَعَرْ

    Ahmad, the best.

    So that he may sing poetry [uncertain reading].

  15. يا حبيب القلب

    لا إِله إِلا أنت

    O beloved of the heart,

    There is no god but You.

  16. اغفر لي ذنبي

    لا إِله إِلا أنت

    Forgive me my sin.

    There is no god but You.
