1. في مقصدي ومُرادي

    زوره لقبر الأمجدْ

    My aim and my desire:

    a visit to the tomb of the most glorious one.

  2. يا رب حل أقيادي

    نمشي نزور محمدْ

    O Lord, loosen my bonds,

    so I may go and visit Muhammad.

  3. يا ربنا يا ستارْ

    هو عليا أملي

    O our Lord, O Concealer of faults!

    For me, He is my hope.

  4. قصدي نزور المختارْ

    ونحطْ عني حملي

    My aim is to visit the Chosen One

    and lay down my burden.

  5. إِذا نموت أو نقبار

    الله غنى عن عملي

    When I die or am buried,

    God has no need of my deeds.

  6. فارقت جميع أولادي

    والنارُ في قلبي توقد

    I have parted from all my children,

    and the fire blazes in my heart.

  7. يا رب حل أقيادي

    نمشي نزور محمد

    O Lord, loosen my bonds,

    so I may go and visit Muhammad.

  8. إِذا نزورْ خير الناسْ

    هو واجب أو أقرب

    When I visit the best of humankind,

    it is a duty, or nearly so.

  9. أبو بكر عاطر الأنفاس

    عليّ محب الأحباب

    Abu Bakr, fragrant of breath;

    Ali, lover of the beloved ones.

  10. زيدوا الصلاه يا جلاس

    على النبي والأصحاب

    Increase your blessings, O seated companions,

    upon the Prophet and the companions.

  11. العشره هم الأسياد

    أرضوا عليهم باجتهاد

    The ten are the masters.

    Earnestly invoke God's pleasure upon them.

  12. يا رب حل أقيادي

    نمشي نزور محمد

    O Lord, loosen my bonds,

    so I may go and visit Muhammad.

  13. قصدي نزور الكعبه

    ونغتسل من زمزمْ

    My aim is to visit the Kaaba

    and bathe in water from Zamzam.

  14. نرى بعين طيبه

    والله بهذا أعلم

    I see Taybah with my own eyes,

    and God knows this best.

  15. إذا نطوف بالكعبه

    تذهبْ جميعُ الأسقامْ

    When I circle the Kaaba,

    all ailments depart.

  16. نرى النخيل والوادي

    تبقى الدموع تتبدد

    I see the date palms and the valley;

    the tears continue to scatter.

  17. يا رب حل أقيادي

    نمشي نزور محمد

    O Lord, loosen my bonds,

    so I may go and visit Muhammad.

  18. يا ساداتي أنتم الموالي

    بالفضل والجود والكمالِ

    O my masters, you are the patrons,

    with grace, generosity, and perfection.

  19. وعاشقيكم من الرجالِ

    أهل الكمالِ

    And your lovers among men

    are people of perfection.

  20. جعلتموني عبداً وليّا

    تعطفاً منكمْ عليّا

    You have made me a servant and a friend,

    out of your compassion toward me.

  21. ولا يخاف سيدي عليّا

    ولا يبالي

    And my master has no fear for me,

    nor is he concerned.

  22. تالله أنتم حياة قلبي

    وأنتم غاية المحبِ

    By God, you are the life of my heart,

    and you are the lover's ultimate goal.

  23. وأنتم ساداتي وحسبي

    بين الرجالِ

    And you are my masters and all I need

    among men.

  24. تالله مالي سوى مددكمْ

    تالله إِني منكم وإليكمْ

    By God, I have nothing but your aid.

    By God, I am of you and unto you.

  25. لا تطْردوني بالله عنكم

    بعد الوصالِ

    For God's sake, do not drive me away from you

    after union.

  26. تالله مالي سوى رضاكمْ

    يا ساداتي شفاني هواكم

    By God, I have nothing but your approval.

    O my masters, love for you has healed me.

  27. أنتم مرادي ولا سواكم

    يا ذا الغوالي

    You are my desire, and none but you,

    O you precious ones!

  28. لما دخلنا حماكمْ

    تنور القلب من ضياكمْ

    When we entered your sanctuary,

    the heart was illumined by your radiance.

  29. والله يا ساداتي رضاكمْ

    عليَّ غالي

    And by God, O my masters, your approval

    is precious to me.

  30. أرجو مددكم يا أهل الكمالِ

    وغيركم ما خطر ببالي

    I hope for your aid, O people of perfection,

    and no one but you has crossed my mind.

  31. بالله رقوا عطفا لحالي

    ياذا الموالي

    For God's sake, show tenderness in compassion for my plight,

    O you patrons!

  32. أنتم مرادي وأنتم سيادي

    أنتم حياتي وأنتم رقادي

    You are my desire, and you are my masters.

    You are my life, and you are my slumber.

  33. وغيركم لم أر سيادي

    يا ذا الكمالِ

    And I have seen none but you, my masters,

    O possessor of perfection!

  34. أنا العبيدُ الفقير راجي

    لطفا من الله في الدياجي

    I am the poor little servant, hoping

    for kindness from God in the dark nights,

  35. في يوم عرض أكون ناجي

    من سوء حالي

    that on the day of presentation I may be saved

    from the wretchedness of my state.

  36. ثم الصلاة على التهامي

    والآل والصحب ذو الهمامِ

    Then blessings upon the Tihami,

    and the family and companions of lofty resolve,

  37. وتابعيهم على الدوامِ

    بالاتصالِ

    and their followers for all time,

    without interruption.
