1. بسم الله نبدا قولي

    واسمُ الكريمْ بابُ الله

    In Allah's name I begin my words,

    And the Generous One's name is the gate to Allah.

  2. وعلى الله نفني عمري

    والخاتمه رسولُ الله

    And for Allah I expend my life,

    And the ending is Allah's Messenger.

  3. النورُ طالع يتلالا

    من قبةِ الهادي الأمجدْ

    The light rises, shimmering,

    From the dome of the most glorious Guide.

  4. خليني في ذي الحالا

    واثبتني يا محمدْ

    Keep me in this state,

    And make me steadfast, O Muhammad.

  5. لا ديار إِلا ديار المصطفى

    لا ربوع إِلا ربوع أهل الوفا

    No abodes but the abodes of the Chosen One;

    No dwellings but the dwellings of those who keep faith;

  6. لا حمى إِلا حمى ذاك الحمى

    لا طريق إلا طريق الصُوَفيَ

    No refuge but the refuge of that sanctuary;

    No path but the path of the Sufi;

  7. لا مقام إِلا مقامَ المصطفى

    ابنِ عبد الله جدِ الشرفا

    No station but the station of the Chosen One,

    Son of Abd Allah, forefather of the nobles.

  8. لولاه ما كان وادي

    ولا منازلَ ولا ليلى

    But for him, no valley would have existed,

    Nor dwellings, nor Layla;

  9. ولا حادَ قطُّ حادي

    ولا سرى الركبُ ليلا

    Nor would a camel-driver ever have chanted,

    Nor would the caravan have journeyed by night.

  10. اترك جميعَ البلادِ

    وَملْ إِلى الشرق ميلا

    Leave all the lands,

    And turn toward the East.
