Sol 6.1

  1. زرني الحبيبْ زوره خفيه

    تنكي العذولَ مع الرقيبْ

    The beloved paid me a secret visit,

    Vexing the reproacher and the watcher.

  2. يا قلبْ بشري لكْ هنيه

    بجمع شملكْ مع الحبيبْ

    O heart, sweet glad tidings for you:

    Your reunion with the beloved!

  3. مَحْلاَ حديث العتابْ يا صاحِ

    ما بين عاشقٍ ومَنْ هوى

    How sweet is the talk of reproach, O friend,

    Between a lover and the one he loves!

  4. وهذا سكرانُ وهذا صاحي

    سكرانْ من خمرة الهوى

    And one is drunk, while the other is sober—

    Drunk on the wine of love.

  5. عطفاً عليَّا يا ذا اللواحي

    جسمي بناره لقد كوى

    Have pity on me, O reproacher;

    He has indeed seared my body with his fire.

  6. والشرابْ وكؤوس الحميه

    تذكر العاشقْ الكئيبْ

    And the drink and the cups of fiery wine

    Awaken remembrance in the sorrowful lover.

  7. يا قلبْ بشرى لك هنيه

    بجمع شملك مع الحبيبْ

    O heart, sweet glad tidings for you:

    Your reunion with the beloved!

  8. اسلكْ طريقا لأهل الحقيقه

    أن رمتَ ترقَى إِلى المعالي

    Follow a path of the people of Truth,

    If you wish to rise to the heights.

  9. واتبع سبيلي وكن رفيقا

    تفوز بأنعام ذو الجلالِ

    And follow my way, and be a companion;

    You will prosper through the bounty of the Lord of Majesty.

  10. ولا تفارقْ هذه الطريقه

    تكنْ من الساده الموالي

    And do not forsake this path;

    You will be among the noble masters.

  11. أنا شيوخي هم شاذليه

    في حبهمْ قلبي يطيبْ

    As for me, my shaykhs are Shadhilis;

    In loving them, my heart finds joy.

  12. يا قلبْ بشرى لك هنيه

    بجمعْ شملكْ مع الحبيبْ

    O heart, sweet glad tidings for you:

    Your reunion with the beloved!
