He has indeed revealed my treasure to me,

and granted me triumph through my triumph,

and made my symbol real for me,

through his gracious favors toward me.

    نُشاهِدْهُ بِمَسْطُور

    His remembrance is nothing but joy;

I behold him in what is inscribed.

And whoever is with him does not see—

he beholds the master of the Pleiades.

He gave me drink from my wine jars,

in my dwelling, from my heart,

and made my expression firm for me,

    through an inward journey.

Do not look into the vessels,

    and plunge into the sea of meanings;

    perhaps you may see me

at the hands of the Sufis.

    For they are your guides,

    so be humble before them,

and become, in your innate nature,

    ready for balance.

To me my writings are sent,

and I cast what is above below,

and I mix sweet, smooth-flowing water,

and through myself I point to myself.

    My annihilation is my heaven,

and my love is my modesty,

and my speech is my cloak,

and my symbol is in a foreign tongue.
