1. حُبُّ رَسُولِ اللهِ دِيْنِي

    لِمْ لاَ وقْدْ جَلاَ

    Love for God's Messenger is my religion.

    Why not, when he has dispelled

  2. غَياهِبَ الشّكِ

    بِالْيَقين

    the dark depths of doubt

    with certainty?

  3. أرسَلَهُ اللهُ للعبادِ

    بادِي بِحكْمه

    God sent him to His servants,

    manifest through His decree.

  4. لَمَّا أبُو جاءَ بالجهادِ

    هادي لأمْرِهِ

    When they refused, he came with jihad,

    a guide to His command.

  5. يا صاحِبِي قِفْ بكلِّ نادِي

    نادِي باسمِهِ

    O my companion, stand in every assembly;

    call out in his name.

  6. تُعْطَي بِذِي الْقُوَّةِ المتينِ

    أهْلاً ومَنْزِلاَ

    You shall be granted, by the Possessor of Power, the Steadfast,

    a family and a dwelling

  7. في حَضْرة القُدُس

    مِنْ دُونِ هونِ

    in the presence of holiness,

    without humiliation.

  8. مُتَمِّمَا جاء بالكمالِ

    مالِي شيءٌ سِواهْ

    He came as a perfecter, bearing perfection;

    I have nothing besides him.

  9. حِبَّى هُ البرْءُ مِنْ خبا لِي

    بالِي يَرْجُو رضاه

    My beloved—he is the cure for my derangement;

    my mind hopes for his approval.

  10. لأنَّه جَنَّةُ اتكالي

    مالِي لِمَنْ رَجَا

    For he is the paradise of my reliance,

    my treasure for whoever hopes.

  11. أفْنَيْتُ في مدْحِه فُنُوني

    كَيْ لا أعْزُو إِلَى

    I have exhausted my arts in his praise,

    so that I do not ascribe myself to

  12. مَنْ بانَ عن

    ثُلْةِ اليمين

    those who have parted from

    the company of the right hand.

  13. دَعَوْتُ للحقِّ الأنامْ

    نامُوا على الرَّدَى

    I called humankind to the truth;

    they slept upon ruin.

  14. لَمَّا انْجلَى بالهُدى الظلامْ

    لاَمُوا من اهْتَدَى

    When the darkness cleared through guidance,

    they blamed those who found guidance.

  15. لِذاكَ أضْحُوا قد اسْتقامُوا

    قاموا على الْعِدى

    Thus they became upright indeed;

    they rose against the enemies.

  16. فأذهَبَ اللهُ بالأمينِ

    جَهْلاَّ لمَّا عَلاَ

    So God, through the Trustworthy One, dispelled

    ignorance when he rose high,

  17. وأسْفَرَ الصُّبْحُ

    للْعُيونِ

    and dawn shone forth

    before the eyes.

  18. إخْتَصَّهُ اللهُ بالْمعالِي

    عالِي علَى الْوَرَى

    God singled him out for lofty honors,

    exalted above humankind.

  19. اشكُوكَ يا سيِّدِي بِحالي

    حالِي كما تَرَى

    I bring you my complaint, my master, about my state;

    my state is as you see.

  20. وها أنا أطْلُبُ انتقالي

    فالِي لِمَا جرَى

    And here I am, seeking my transition,

    my omen [uncertain reading] for what has come to pass.

  21. وقد تَقدَّمتُ بالمكينِ

    كُن لي لا أبقَى على

    And I have advanced through the one of high standing;

    stand by me; let me not remain

  22. تأخُّرِي مَعْ

    ذَوِي الْمُجُون

    lagging behind with

    the people of wantonness.

  23. ملأتَ يا أحمدُ الوُجُودَ

    جُوداً وَسُوداً

    You filled existence, O Ahmad,

    with generosity and lordship.

  24. جَعلْتُ مَدْحَكَ الْمَجِيدَا

    جِيداً مُقَلَّدَا

    I made your glorious praise

    a neck adorned with a necklace.

  25. فاجْعلْ لَنا وجْهَكَ السَّعِيدا

    عِيداً يُنْجِي غَدَا

    So make your blessed face for us

    a festival that saves us tomorrow.

  26. يا سِّيدَ الْخَلْقِ كُنْ مَعِينِي

    إِذْ لا حَوْلَ ولاَ

    O master of creation, be my helper,

    for there is no power and no

  27. قُوَّةَ للمذنِبِ

    الْمَهِينِ

    strength for the sinner,

    the lowly one.
