  1. لست صدرا ولا قرأت على صد

    ر ولا علمك البكي بكاف

    You are no leading scholar, nor have you studied under a leading

    scholar; nor is your meager knowledge sufficient.

  2. لعن الله كل شعر ونحو

    وعروض يجيء من سيراف

    May God curse all poetry and grammar,

    and prosody that comes from Siraf.
