أَعوذُI seek refuge بِاللَهِin God الأَعَزَّthe Mightiest الأَكرَمِthe Most Generous
أَعوذُ بِاللَهِ الأَعَزَّ الأَكرَمِ
مِنfrom قَوليَmy saying الشيءَthe thing الَّذيwhich لَمdid not أَعلَمِI know
مِن قَوليَ الشيءَ الَّذي لَم أَعلَمِ
I seek refuge in God, the Mightiest, the Most Generous,
I seek refuge with Allah, the Almighty, the Most Generous
from saying what I do not know,
From uttering anything I do not know
تَخَبُّطَstumbling about الأَعمىthe blind man الضَريرthe sightless الأَيهَمِthe bewildered
تَخَبُّطَ الأَعمى الضَرير الأَيهَمِ
stumbling like a blind, sightless, bewildered man.
