يَلومونَنيthey blame me فيfor البُخلِstinginess جَهلاًout of ignorance وَضلَّةًand error
يَلومونَني في البُخلِ جَهلاً وَضلَّةً
وَلَلبُخلُand surely stinginess خَيرٌis better مِنthan سؤالِasking بَخيلِa miser
وَلَلبُخلُ خَيرٌ مِن سؤالِ بَخيلِ
They blame me for stinginess, out of ignorance and error;
They blame me wrongly for stinginess, out of ignorance and misguidance
Yet stinginess is surely better than asking a miser.
Yet stinginess is better than asking from a stingy man
