أَتانيَcame to me فيconcerning الضَبعاءal-Ḍabʿāʾ أَوسُAws بنson of عامِرٍʿĀmir
أَتانيَ في الضَبعاء أَوسُ بن عامِرٍ
يُخادِعُنيtrying to deceive me عَنهاout of her بِجِنِّby the frenzy of ضِراسِهاher biting
يُخادِعُني عَنها بِجِنِّ ضِراسِها
Aws ibn ʿĀmir came to me concerning al-Ḍabʿāʾ,
Awse, son of Amer, came to me in the wilderness,
Trying to trick me out of her by citing her frenzied biting.
Trying to dissuade me from it with the Jinn of its harshness.
