    فَأجْمِلْ بالمُوشَّحِ والوِشَاحِ

    The sky has draped itself in a cloak of cloud;

    how lovely the cloaked one and the sash!

    Remove the cloth covers of the jars, and unveil from them

    within the cups’ horizons, suns of wine.

    Bubbles spring forth upon it whenever

    the youth of pure water enfolds it,

    by the hand of a tender youth with dyed palms—

    my corruption in loving him is my righteousness.
