لوif أنَّthat ليfor me بانْبعاثِin the stirring of الرِّيحِthe wind نحوَكُمُtoward you
لو أنَّ لي بانْبعاثِ الرِّيحِ نحوَكُمُ
يَداًa hand لتُبلغَكُمْso it might convey to you ماwhat فيwithin طَوِيَّاتِيmy innermost thoughts
يَداً لتُبلغَكُمْ ما في طَوِيَّاتِي
If, in the wind’s blowing toward you, I had
If I had, with the blowing wind’s departure your way,
a hand, so it might convey to you my innermost thoughts,
A hand that would convey all that’s in my heart to impart,
لَمْdid not تأتِكُمْcome to you نَسْمَةٌa breeze إلاَّexcept وكاهِلُهَاand its shoulders
لَمْ تأتِكُمْ نَسْمَةٌ إلاَّ وكاهِلُهَا
ينُوءُsags ثِقْلاًheavily بأَعْبَاءِbeneath the burdens of التَحِيَّاتِgreetings
ينُوءُ ثِقْلاً بأَعْبَاءِ التَحِيَّاتِ
no breeze would reach you without its shoulders
No breeze but would shoulder, heavily weighed,
sagging heavily beneath the burdens of greetings.
With loving greetings, sent your way.
