تمر الغواني في ثيابٍ شفيفةٍ
لأزواجهاfor their husbands لذاتهاtheir pleasures ولناand for us الإثمthe sin
لأزواجها لذاتها ولنا الإثم
The beautiful women pass by in sheer garments;
The beautiful women pass in diaphanous robes
Their pleasures are for their husbands, and the sin is for us.
For their husbands, themselves, while we bear the sin
وتغليand boil المقاليthe frying pans فيin البيوتthe houses وإنماbut only
وتغلي المقالي في البيوت وإنما
لأربابهاfor their owners لذاتهاtheir delights ولناand for us الشمthe smell
لأربابها لذاتها ولنا الشم
And frying pans boil in the houses, yet
And the censers boil in homes but
Their delights are for their owners alone, and the smell is for us.
For their lords, themselves, while we get the scent
