عِندِي لَكُمْ من صَبَابَاتٍ وأَشْواقِ
If every tongue of mine were to express what
If every tongue I had could make known
I hold for you of ardent love and longing,
All of the yearnings inside me that have grown,
كَلَّتْwould grow weary وألْفيْتُand I would find مَاضِيthe preceding portion of ماwhat تَفُوهُit speaks بِهِof it

أدنَى وأيْسر مقْدَاراً من البَاقِي
it would grow weary, and I would find what it had already uttered
They would tire and lose track trying to speak
lesser and slighter in measure than what remained.
Of the smallest portion that remains in my keep
