Time was jealous of his spring
Time envied his flowing grace,
until it dried up his flowing spring.
Until the spring envied itself
Until it caused his spring to sink away.

Indeed, if the enemies betrayed him,
He who betrayed him if he did
Truly, were the enemies to act with treachery,
they would ransom him and protect him.
Would ransom him with certainty
They would ransom him and shield him.

Even the suns wish they could
Even the suns themselves desire

To ransom him and shield him.
