قالوا أَفِق قَد مُلِئَت
عَيناكَyour two eyes دَمعاًwith tears وَقَذىand grit
عَيناكَ دَمعاً وَقَذى
They said, 'Come to your senses! Already filled are
They said, "Awake, your eyes are filled
They said, "Come to your senses! For your eyes are filled
your eyes with tears and grit.'
With tears and misery,
With tears and stinging dust."
وَيحَهُمُalas for them أَلَمhave ... not? يَرَواthey see
وَيحَهُمُ أَلَم يَرَوا
أَيَّwhat مُصابٍcalamity وَقَذاstruck senseless
أَيَّ مُصابٍ وَقَذا
Alas for them! Have they not seen
Alas, do they not see
Woe to them! Did they not see
what calamity has struck me senseless?
What sorrow and agony."
