إِنَّ عُداةَ الخَليلِ عَزّوهُ
Friends, he has replaced me with the innocent one.
The enemies of a friend accused me instead of him.
Friends have exchanged me for the innocent one,
Indeed, the Friend’s enemies have overpowered him.
Indeed, the enemies of the beloved blamed him.
Indeed, the friend's own enemies have consoled him.
وَقيلَand it was said هذاthis الغَريبُthe stranger فيconcerning وَلَدٍa son

And it was said: “This stranger, in the matter of a son,
And it was said: "This stranger acted on the child's behalf."
And it was said: "This stranger, in the form of a boy,
has taken the Friend’s place; console him.”
He took the place of the beloved, so they blamed him.
Has taken the place of the friend—so console him."
