لَحا اللَهُ دَهراً لا يَزالُ يَمينُ

لَحا اللَهُ دَهراً لا يَزالُ يَمينُ

وَيَنقُضُ عَهداً أَكَّدَتهُ يَمينُ

وَيَنقُضُ عَهداً أَكَّدَتهُ يَمينُ

May God curse an age that never ceases to deceive,

May God curse an age that never ceases to lie,

May God curse an age that ceases not to deceive,

and breaks a covenant that an oath confirmed.

And breaks a covenant confirmed by an oath.

And violates a covenant that a solemn oath confirmed;

أَيَسلُبُ نَفس الحرّ وهي كَريمَة

أَيَسلُبُ نَفس الحرّ وهي كَريمَة

وَيَقطَعُ كَفَّ المَجدِ وَهيَ يَمينُ

وَيَقطَعُ كَفَّ المَجدِ وَهيَ يَمينُ

Does it rob the free man of his soul while it is noble,

Does it snatch away the free man's soul, though it is noble,

Does it rob the soul of the free man while it is noble,

and sever Glory’s hand while it is the right hand?

And sever the hand of glory, though it is a right hand?

And sever the hand of Glory, though it is a right hand?
