يا ضارِب البَدرِ أَقسَم

O striker of the full moon, I have sworn—
O you who struck Badr, I have sworn
—you shall not tread my carpet,
That you shall never tread upon my rug,
كَماas سَطَوتَyou assaulted عَلىupon اِبنيmy son
كَما سَطَوتَ عَلى اِبني
إِذهَبgo بُليتُI was afflicted بِساطِby an assailant
إِذهَب بُليتُ بِساطِ
as you assaulted my son.
Just as you assaulted my son,
Go! I have been afflicted by an assailant.
Begone! May you be afflicted by an assailant.
