He whom I used to heal with incantations has died—yet do
The one I used to treat with healing charms has died; and can
He whom I sought to save with spells has died; and do
His Gospels shield Jesus from death?
his Gospels protect Jesus from death?
The Gospels of Jesus shelter Jesus from death?
فَأَصبَحتso I became وَحديby myself بِلاwithout مشبهٍa counterpart
فَأَصبَحت وَحدي بِلا مشبهٍ
كَأَنَّas though الزَمانَtime أَناI جيلُهُits generation
كَأَنَّ الزَمانَ أَنا جيلُهُ
And so I am left alone, with none resembling me,
So I was left alone, without a counterpart,
So I have become alone, without a peer,
As though I alone were the whole generation of this age.
as though I alone were time's generation.
As if I am the sole generation of Time.
