وَقَطيعٍand a jar حَوىcontained شَرابَa draught حَكيمِa physician
وَقَطيعٍ حَوى شَرابَ حَكيمِ
طالَlasted long ماthat كانَit was خِدرَthe secluded chamber of بِنتِthe daughter of الكُرومِthe vines
طالَ ما كانَ خِدرَ بِنتِ الكُرومِ
And a jar containing a physician’s draught
And a flock surrounding the wise one's drink
was long the secluded chamber of the daughter of the vines.
Long has he been sitting numb by the vineyards
فَهُوَso it اليَومَtoday مُذهِبٌa dispeller لِسَقامٍof sickness
فَهُوَ اليَومَ مُذهِبٌ لِسَقامٍ
بَعدَafter أَنthat كانَit was مُذهِباًa dispeller لِهُمومِof cares
بَعدَ أَن كانَ مُذهِباً لِهُمومِ
So today it dispels sickness,
So today he takes away sickness
after once dispelling cares.
After he had taken away anxiety
