يَقِلّcounts for little مِنَfrom النّاسِpeople عِندِيto me الكَثِيرُmuch
يَقِلّ مِنَ النّاسِ عِندِي الكَثِيرُ
وَيَكثُرُand counts for much عِندِيَto me مِنكَfrom you القَلِيلُlittle
وَيَكثُرُ عِندِيَ مِنكَ القَلِيلُ
Much from others counts for little to me,
Many people mean little to me
And little from you counts for much to me.
While little from you means so much
وإنand if لَمnot يُتَحbe granted لِيto me سِوَىexcept وَاحِدٍone
وإن لَم يُتَح لِي سِوَى وَاحِدٍ
خَلِيلٍclose friend فَإنَّكَthen indeed you ذَاكَthat الخَلِيلُthe close friend
خَلِيلٍ فَإنَّكَ ذَاكَ الخَلِيلُ
And if I am granted no more than one
And if I have but one companion
Close friend, then you are indeed that friend.
You, my friend, are that one
