رِضاكَyour favor لَناfor us قَبلَbefore الطَهورِthe cleansing water مُطَهِّرُpurifying
وَقُربُكَand your nearness مِنfrom دونِwithout البَخورِincense مُعَطِّرُperfuming
Your favor purifies us before the cleansing water does.
Your approval before purification is purifying for us,
And your nearness perfumes us without incense.
And your nearness without incense is perfuming.
فَلَوso if عَزَّwere hard to find حَمّامٌa bathhouse لَأَدفَأَناwould surely warm us ذَرىًa shelter
يَفيضُoverflows بِهِin it ماءُwater النَدىgenerosity المُتَفَجِّرُgushing forth
So, if a bathhouse were hard to find, a shelter would surely warm us,
So if a dove cooed, we would kindle embers
Where the gushing water of generosity overflows.
With water overflowing with dew.
وَلَوand if لَمnot يَكُنthere were طيبٌperfume لَأَغنَتwould surely suffice حَفاوَةٌwarm hospitality
تُمَسَّكُis scented with musk مِنهاfrom it حالُناour state وَتُعَنبَرُand is scented with ambergris
And if there were no perfume, warm hospitality would suffice,
And if there were no perfume, tenderness would suffice,
Through which our state is scented with musk and ambergris.
Our state clinging to it and scented.
فَلاso may not فارَقَleave الدُنياthe world سَناءٌradiance مُقَدَّسٌsacred
بِعَيشِكَby your life فيهاin it أَوor ثَناءٌpraise مُجَمَّرُperfumed with incense
So may the world never lose a radiance made sacred
So neither sacred glory parted from the world
By your life within it, or praise perfumed with incense.
By your life in it, nor praise kindled.
وَدُمتَand may you remain مُلَقّىًgranted كُلَّevery يَومٍday صَبيحَةًa morning
يُغاديكَcomes to you early فيهاin it بِالفُتوحِwith victories مُبَشِّرُa bearer of glad tidings
And may you always be granted, each day, a morning
And you remain, every morning greeted
When a herald comes early to you with glad tidings of victories.
With good tidings of openings coming to you.
