قَد ضاقَ بي في حُبُّكَ المَذهَبُ
O moon whose rising-place is the west,
O moon rising in the west
In loving you, the path has grown narrow for me.
I'm confounded by loving you

وَيَغلِبُ الشَوقُ فَأَستَعتِبُ
I strive to reproach you for your injustice to me,
Though I complain of your tyranny
but longing prevails, so I seek your forgiveness.
Longing prevails so I seek your pardon

You charged me with the sin that you committed.
You accused me of the sin I came with
You spoke truly—so forgive me, O sinner.
You were right, so forgive, O Sinner
