Mu'tadid bi'llah—his benevolence
With God's kindness his benefaction is resolute,
Is abundant should Time one day bring harm.
Bountiful, should time one day be unkind.

If someone should one day seek to describe his eminence,
If one day an eloquent describer endeavors
Eloquent and accomplished though he be, he is struck dumb.
To describe his sublime attributes, he would be struck mute.

He remains an emerging, radiant full moon
Dispelling the deep darkness from our hopes.
That unveils our deepest hopes.
