مَلَكْتَ أَعْشَارَ قَلْبِي وَهَوَاكَ حَوَى

مَلَكْتَ أَعْشَارَ قَلْبِي وَهَوَاكَ حَوَى

جِسْمِي فَأَسْلَمَهُ لِلْبَثِّ وَالْحَزَنِ

جِسْمِي فَأَسْلَمَهُ لِلْبَثِّ وَالْحَزَنِ

You have possessed all ten portions of my heart, and love for you has seized

You own a tenth of my heart, and your love

You have possessed every fragment of my heart, and your love has consumed

my body, surrendering it to anguish and sorrow.

Has taken over my body, leaving it to sadness and torment.

فَاشْفَعْ بِوَصْلِكَ جِسْمِي وَاضْمُمَنْهُ إِلَى

قَلْبِي الْمُعَنَّى وَخَلِّصْهُ مِنَ الْمِحَنِ

قَلْبِي الْمُعَنَّى وَخَلِّصْهُ مِنَ الْمِحَنِ

So, through union with you, reunite my body and join it to

So intercede with your union, bring my body relief,

So pair my body through your union, and draw it close to

my tormented heart, and free it from afflictions.

And attach it to my burdened heart, saving it from trials.

وَاهْنَأْ بِمِلْكِ فَتىً مَا إِنْ يُعَادِلُهُ

وَاهْنَأْ بِمِلْكِ فَتىً مَا إِنْ يُعَادِلُهُ

مَالُ الْعِرَاقِ وَلاَ مُلْكُ ابْنِ ذِي يَزَنِ

مَالُ الْعِرَاقِ وَلاَ مُلْكُ ابْنِ ذِي يَزَنِ

And rejoice in possessing a youth who is equaled by neither

Rejoice in owning a young man, whom neither

And rejoice in possessing a youth who cannot be equaled by

the wealth of Iraq nor the kingdom of Ibn Dhi Yazan.

The wealth of Iraq nor the kingdom of the son of Yazan can equal.
