هَذَاthis ضَريحُكَyour tomb يَاO أَباfather of غَالِبْGhalib
هَذَا ضَريحُكَ يَا أَبا غَالِبْ
شَاهِدُwitness to سِرِّكَyour secret فيهwithin it لاَnot غائِبْabsent
شَاهِدُ سِرِّكَ فيه لاَ غائِبْ
This is your tomb, O Abu Ghalib.
This is your tomb, O Abu Galib
This is your shrine, O Abu Ghalib,
The witness to your secret is there, not absent.
Your secret's witness in it, not absent
The witness of your secret dwells within it, never absent.
فيهwithin it شُمُوسُsuns سَناكَyour radiance مُشْرِقَةٌshining
فيه شُمُوسُ سَناكَ مُشْرِقَةٌ
فيهwithin it غَمامُcloud نَوالِكَyour bounty السَّاكِبْpouring forth
فيه غَمامُ نَوالِكَ السَّاكِبْ
Within it, the suns of your radiance are shining.
In it your suns shining
Within it, the suns of your radiance are shining,
Within it is the outpouring cloud of your bounty.
In it the clouds of your pouring rain
Within it pours the cloud of your boundless generosity.
وَنارُand the fire of طَبِّكَyour healing قَطُّever ماnot خَمَدَتْdied out
وَنارُ طَبِّكَ قَطُّ ما خَمَدَتْ
يَعْشُوmakes for a light إِلَيْهَاtoward it مَنْone who ضَرُّهُوَاصِبْhis suffering is unceasing
يَعْشُو إِلَيْهَا مَنْ ضَرُّهُوَاصِبْ
And the fire of your healing has never gone out.
And the fire of your goodness never extinguished
And the fire of your healing has never been extinguished,
One whose suffering is unceasing makes for its light,
To it comes who hurts seeking relief
Sought in the dark by the one whose affliction is relentless.
حَتَّىuntil إِذاwhen صَادَفَتْهُmet him تُرْبَتُكُمْyour tomb's soil
حَتَّى إِذا صَادَفَتْهُ تُرْبَتُكُمْ
تَبَيَّنَrealized الضُّرُّthe affliction أَنَّهُthat it is كَاذِبْa liar
تَبَيَّنَ الضُّرُّ أَنَّهُ كَاذِبْ
Until, when the soil of your tomb meets him,
Until when he meets your soil
Until, when your hallowed dust encounters him,
The affliction realizes that it is a liar.
The hurt knows itself a liar
The affliction is revealed to be a falsehood.
قَدْindeed أَنْعَمَgladdened اللهُGod عَيْنَthe eye of زَائِرِكُمْyour visitor
قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَيْنَ زَائِرِكُمْ
وَلاَand not يَخِيبُare disappointed زُوَارُvisitors ذَاthis الْجَانِبْside
وَلاَ يَخِيبُ زُوَارُ ذَا الْجَانِبْ
God has indeed gladdened your visitor's eye.
God has blessed the eye of your visitor
God has graced the eye of your visitor,
And visitors to this place are not disappointed.
And the visitors of the generous are not disappointed
And the guests of this sanctuary shall never be disappointed.
Sol 6.1
