أَزْكَىpurest السَّلاَمِpeace عَلَىupon الْمُسَلَّمِthe acknowledged one عِيسَىIsa
أَزْكَى السَّلاَمِ عَلَى الْمُسَلَّمِ عِيسَى
مِمَّنْfrom one who يُدَرِّسُteaches فَخْرَهُhis glory تَدْرِيسَاteaching
مِمَّنْ يُدَرِّسُ فَخْرَهُ تَدْرِيسَا
The purest peace upon Isa, the acknowledged one,
The purest peace be upon Isa,
The purest of peace be upon the esteemed Isa,
From one who teaches his glory, lesson upon lesson,
Who teaches his pride with teaching,
From one who teaches his glory with thorough instruction,
وَيَرَىand sees لَهُfor him الْحَسَبَancestral honor الْحَسِيبَnoble إِزَاءَهُopposite it
وَيَرَى لَهُ الْحَسَبَ الْحَسِيبَ إِزَاءَهُ
نَفْسٌa soul تُشَوِّقُstirs longing in لِلنَّفِيسِfor what is precious نُفُوسَاsouls
نَفْسٌ تُشَوِّقُ لِلنَّفِيسِ نُفُوسَا
And sees his noble ancestral honor matched by
And sees his lineage face-to-face with him
And sees such noble honor standing as his equal,
A soul that makes souls yearn for what is precious.
A soul that inspires souls to what is precious
A soul that awakens in other souls a yearning for the precious.
دَامَتْmay it endure كَذِلَكَthus وَالْعُلاَand eminence تَعْلُوrises بِهَاthrough it
دَامَتْ كَذِلَكَ وَالْعُلاَ تَعْلُو بِهَا
وَتَعُلُّهَاand gives it another draught of التَّمْجِيدَglorification وَالتَّقْدِيسَاand sanctification
وَتَعُلُّهَا التَّمْجِيدَ وَالتَّقْدِيسَا
May it remain so, while eminence rises through it
May it remain so, as excellence continues through it,
May it ever remain so, with high nobility rising through it,
And gives it fresh draughts of glorification and sanctification.
And praise and sanctity raise it higher
Quenching it time and again with glorification and reverence.
