وَمَنْ تَيَمَّمَهُ لَيْسَ بِمَطْرُودِ
The gate of your abundant generosity is not closed.
The door of your abundant generosity is not closed
The door of your abundant generosity is never closed,
And whoever makes for it is not turned away.
And whoever seeks it is not turned away
And whoever seeks it out is never driven away.
وَكَيْفَand how يُطْرَدُis driven away مَلْهُوفٌa distressed man لَهُhe has غِلَلٌpangs of thirst
وَكَيْفَ يُطْرَدُ مَلْهُوفٌ لَهُ غِلَلٌ

إِلَى مَوَارِدَ عَذْبٍ غَيْرِ مَحْدُودِ
And how could a distressed man be driven away, with his burning thirst
And how can one shackled and yearning be turned away
And how could a distressed soul, consumed by burning thirst, be driven away,
For sources of boundless sweet water?
To unlimited springs of fresh water
While drawing near to sweet, boundless watering springs?
بَحْرٌa sea مِنَof الْفَضْلِbounty مَرْدُودٌascribed لَهُto it لُجَجٌdeep waters

زَرَتْ عَلَى كُلِّ بَحْرٍ غَيْرِ مَوْرُودِ
A sea of bounty, with deep waters ascribed to it,
An ocean of virtue, its high waves surge toward it
A sea of bounty, its surging depths rolling endlessly,
That put every unfrequented sea to shame.
They flowed over every fathomless sea
Surpassing every inaccessible, unvisited sea.

عَلَى الأَعَالِي عَلِيِّ بْنِ دَاوُدِ
A sea that overflowed when traced to Ali, who rose
An ocean swelled when it leaned toward Ali
A sea that swelled as it traced its source to Ali, who ascended
Above the loftiest—Ali ibn Dawud.
Above all others, Ali son of Dawood
Above the highest summits—Ali ibn Dawud.
إِذْat the time of ذَاكَthat يَأْوِيtakes refuge إِلَىto رُكْنٍa pillar شَدِيدٍmighty لَهُbelonging to him

Then it finds refuge in his mighty pillar
Then he takes refuge in a sturdy corner of his
Thereupon, he takes refuge in a mighty, unshakable pillar,
Of dazzling nobility, like white amid black.
Made of shining iron like white amidst black
Of dazzling glory, striking as white against the dark.
