وَمِنَand of الْمُرُوءَةِhonor وَالنُّهَىand reason صِفْرُdevoid
Sefrou is full of the stupidest of mortals,
A man empty of honor, virtue withdrawn
Sefrou is brimming with the most foolish of mortals,
and devoid of honor and reason.
And manliness departed, zeroed, forlorn
Yet of chivalry and wisdom, it amounts to zero.
أَبْنِيَةٌbuildings حَفَّsurrounded الْيَهُودُthe Jews بِهَاaround them
فَأَخَفُّso lighter مِنْthan مَثْوىًdwelling بِهَاin it الأْسْرُcaptivity
Buildings surrounded by the Jews;
Structures the Jews exult in, yet inside
Buildings that are encircled by Jews,
so captivity is less burdensome than dwelling there.
More flimsy refuge than a spider's web torn
Thus captivity is lighter than residing within them.
لاَlet not يَخْدَعّنَّكَdeceive you حُسْنُbeauty مَنْظَرِهِits appearance
مِنْfrom خَارِجٍoutside وَالرَّوْضُand the garden وَالنَّهْرُand the river
Do not be deceived by the beauty of its appearance
Let not the beauty of its outward view
Let not its beautiful view deceive you
from outside, or by the garden and the river.
Deceive, of gardens and a river born
From the outside, nor its gardens and the river.
فَنَظِيرُهُfor its counterpart الدُّنْيَاthis world فَظَاهِرُهَاfor its exterior
حُلْوٌsweet وَبَاطِنُand the interior حُلْوِهَاits sweetness مُرُّbitter
For it is like this world—its exterior
For like the world its surface is made sweet
For it is the counterpart of this world: its exterior
is sweet, yet beneath its sweetness lies bitterness—
Yet inner sweetness bitter wormwood, scorn
Is sweet, yet the core of its sweetness is bitter.

or the Dajjal's paradise, which you see
Or paradise of Dajjal, seen to bloom
Or like the paradise of the False Messiah that you behold:
dewy, though embers lie in its entrails.
With dew, inside, though, only fiery thorns
Moist with dew, while embers burn within its bowels.

مَنْone who دَارُهُhis home السُّودَانُSudan أَوْor مِصْرُEgypt
The stench of wickedness from Sefrou can be smelled
As sulfur stench makes she who dwells in Sudan
The foul stench of wickedness from Sefrou can be smelled
by one whose home is Sudan or Egypt.
Or Egypt vomit, so this coward scorns
By one whose very abode is in Sudan or Egypt.
