يَاO رَبِّmy Lord أَدْفِئْنِيwarm me فَقَدْfor indeed خَصِرْتُI have grown cold
يَا رَبِّ أَدْفِئْنِي فَقَدْ خَصِرْتُ
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord رَبِّحْنِيgrant me profit فَقَدْfor indeed خَسِرْتُI have suffered loss
يَا رَبِّ رَبِّحْنِي فَقَدْ خَسِرْتُ
O my Lord, warm me, for I have grown cold.
O Lord, warm me for I have shivered
O Lord, warm me, for I have grown cold
O my Lord, grant me profit, for I have suffered loss.
O Lord, profit me for I have lost
O Lord, grant me gain, for I have suffered loss
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord أَعْطِنِيgive me فَقَدْfor indeed أَقْفَرْتُI have become destitute
يَا رَبِّ أَعْطِنِي فَقَدْ أَقْفَرْتُ
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord اغْنِنِيenrich me أَنَاI افْتَقَرْتُhave become poor
يَا رَبِّ اغْنِنِي أَنَا افْتَقَرْتُ
O my Lord, give to me, for I have become destitute.
O Lord, give me for I have become barren
O Lord, give to me, for I am desolate
O my Lord, enrich me; I have fallen into poverty.
O Lord, enrich me for I have become impoverished
O Lord, enrich me, for I have become impoverished
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord أَحْسِنْdo good لِيto me فَقَدْfor indeed أسأتI have done wrong
يَا رَبِّ أَحْسِنْ لِي فَقَدْ أسأت
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord خَرَّقْتُI have torn وَمَاand not رَفَأْتُI have mended
يَا رَبِّ خَرَّقْتُ وَمَا رَفَأْتُ
O my Lord, be good to me, for I have done wrong.
O Lord, be good to me for I have done evil
O Lord, show me goodness, for I have done wrong
O my Lord, I have torn and have not mended.
O Lord, I am torn and have not mended
O Lord, I have torn, and I have not mended
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord أَصْلِحْنِيset me right فَقَدْfor indeed فَسَدْتُI have become corrupt
يَا رَبِّ أَصْلِحْنِي فَقَدْ فَسَدْتُ
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord نَفِّقْنِيmake me saleable فَقَدْfor indeed كَسَدْتُI have gone unsold
يَا رَبِّ نَفِّقْنِي فَقَدْ كَسَدْتُ
O my Lord, set me right, for I have become corrupt.
O Lord, reform me for I have become corrupt
O Lord, rectify me, for I have become corrupted
O my Lord, make me saleable, for I have gone unsold.
O Lord, lavish upon me for I have become miserly
O Lord, grant me worth, for I have stagnated
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord فَاغْفِرْso forgive لِيfor me الذِيwhat صَنَعْتُI have done
يَا رَبِّ فَاغْفِرْ لِي الذِي صَنَعْتُ
وَلاَand do not تُعَامِلْنِيdeal with me بِمَاaccording to what ضَيَّعْتُI have neglected
وَلاَ تُعَامِلْنِي بِمَا ضَيَّعْتُ
O my Lord, so forgive me for what I have done.
O Lord, forgive me for what I have done
O Lord, so forgive me for what I have done
And do not deal with me according to what I have neglected.
And do not repay me for what I have squandered
And do not treat me according to what I have squandered
وَلاَand do not تُعَذِّبْنِيpunish me بِمَاfor what أَعْلَنْتُI have made public
وَلاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي بِمَا أَعْلَنْتُ
وَلاَand do not تُوَاخِذْنِيhold me to account بِمَاfor what أسْرَرْتُI have concealed
وَلاَ تُوَاخِذْنِي بِمَا أسْرَرْتُ
And do not punish me for what I have made public.
And do not torment me for what I have openly declared
And do not punish me for what I have made public
And do not hold me to account for what I have concealed.
And do not punish me for what I have secretly concealed
And do not hold me accountable for what I have kept secret
إِنِّيindeed I إِلَيْكَto You مِنْfrom ذُنُوبِيmy sins تُبْتُI have repented
إِنِّي إِلَيْكَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي تُبْتُ
وَبِمَحَبَّةِand through love of الْهُدَىguidance مَتَتُّI have sought nearness
وَبِمَحَبَّةِ الْهُدَى مَتَتُّ
Indeed, I have turned to You in repentance from my sins.
Indeed, I repent to You from my sins
Indeed, to You I have repented from my sins
And through love of guidance I have sought nearness.
And I have repented through the love of guidance
And through the love of guidance I have sought connection
وَبِالنَّبِيِّand by the Prophet الْمُصْطَفَىthe chosen one سَأَلْتُI have made my plea
وَبِالنَّبِيِّ الْمُصْطَفَى سَأَلْتُ
وَبِجَنَابِهِand at his side قَدِindeed اعْتَصَمْتُI have taken refuge
وَبِجَنَابِهِ قَدِ اعْتَصَمْتُ
And by the chosen Prophet I have made my plea.
And I have asked by the Chosen Prophet
And by the Chosen Prophet I have made my plea
And at his side I have indeed taken refuge.
And I have sought refuge in his side
And in his sanctuary I have taken refuge
وَفِيand in زِمَامِthe register of حُبِّهِhis love ارْتَسَمْتُI have enrolled myself
وَفِي زِمَامِ حُبِّهِ ارْتَسَمْتُ
وَإِنْand even if أَكُنْI may be عَنْheedless of هَدْيِهِhis guidance قَدْindeed نِمْتُI have slept
وَإِنْ أَكُنْ عَنْ هَدْيِهِ قَدْ نِمْتُ
And in the register of his love I have enrolled myself.
And I have held fast to the rein of his love
And to the reins of his love I have submitted
And though I may have slept, heedless of his guidance.
And if I have slept from his guidance
And even if I have slept, heedless of his guidance
يَاO رَبِّmy Lord مَاwhat عُذْرِيmy excuse وَقَدْwhen indeed عَلِمْتُI knew
يَا رَبِّ مَا عُذْرِي وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ
عَلَيْهِupon him صَلَّيْتُI have invoked blessings وَقَدْand indeed سَلَّمْتُI have offered salutations of peace
عَلَيْهِ صَلَّيْتُ وَقَدْ سَلَّمْتُ
O my Lord, what excuse have I, when I knew?
O Lord, what is my excuse when You know
O Lord, what is my excuse, when I have known?
Upon him I have invoked blessings, and offered salutations of peace.
Upon him I have prayed and greeted
Upon him I have sent blessings and peace
