جُوزِيتَmay you be rewarded عَنْon behalf of آلِthe family of النَّبِيِّthe Prophet الصَّادِقِthe truthful
جُوزِيتَ عَنْ آلِ النَّبِيِّ الصَّادِقِ
خَيْرِthe best الْجَزَاءِthe recompense جَزَاءِthe recompense of صَّبٍّan ardent lover وَامِقِdeeply loving
خَيْرِ الْجَزَاءِ جَزَاءِ صَّبٍّ وَامِقِ
May you be rewarded on behalf of the truthful Prophet's family
May you be rewarded on behalf of the truthful Prophet's family,
with the finest recompense, the recompense of an ardent, loving devotee,
With the finest reward, the reward of an ardent, affectionate lover,
يَهْوَىhe loves النَّبِيَّthe Prophet وَآلَهُand his family وَيَذُودُand he shields عَنْfrom
يَهْوَى النَّبِيَّ وَآلَهُ وَيَذُودُ عَنْ
أَعْرَاضِهِمْtheir honor مَنْwhoever رَامَهَاsought to assail it مِنْamong فَاسِقِevildoers
أَعْرَاضِهِمْ مَنْ رَامَهَا مِنْ فَاسِقِ
who loves the Prophet and his family, and shields
Who loves the Prophet and his kin, and stands to defend
their honor from any evildoer who would assail it.
Their honor from any wicked transgressor who targets it.
عَدَّلْتَهُمْyou affirmed their integrity إِنْif كُنْتَyou were مِنْamong أَنْصَارِهِمْtheir supporters
عَدَّلْتَهُمْ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْ أَنْصَارِهِمْ
لَمَّاwhen بَدَاappeared تَجْرِيحُهُمْdisparagement of them مِنْfrom مَارِقِa renegade
لَمَّا بَدَا تَجْرِيحُهُمْ مِنْ مَارِقِ
You affirmed their integrity, if you were among their supporters,
You vindicated them, for you are among their loyal champions,
when a renegade's disparagement of them appeared.
When their defamation by a deviant renegade became manifest.
لاَdo not تَعْدِمَنَّever lack مَسَرَّةًa joy مَوْصُولَةًjoined
لاَ تَعْدِمَنَّ مَسَرَّةً مَوْصُولَةً
بِمَسَرَّةٍwith a joy أُخْرَىanother أَعَِبْدَO servant of الْخَالِقِthe Creator
بِمَسَرَّةٍ أُخْرَى أَعَِبْدَ الْخَالِقِ
May you never lack a joy joined
May you never be deprived of a continuous joy,
to another joy, O ʿAbd al-Khāliq.
Linked to yet another joy, O 'Abd al-Khaliq.
