أَفَاضَpoured forth عَلَيْهِupon him اللهُGod أَبْحُرَseas of فَضْلِهِHis grace
أَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ اللهُ أَبْحُرَ فَضْلِهِ
وَنَوَّرَand illuminated مَثْوىًa resting place ضَمَّهُembraced it الرِّضَاdivine favor
وَنَوَّرَ مَثْوىً ضَمَّهُ الرِّضَا
May God pour upon him seas of His grace,
God bestowed upon him oceans of His bounty,
May God pour upon him the oceans of His grace,
and illumine a resting place embraced by divine favor,
And illuminated an abode embraced by contentment.
And illuminate a resting place where Divine pleasure enfolds him,
وَبَوَّأَهُand settled him يَوْمَon the Day of الْقِيَامَةِResurrection مَرْبَعاًan abode
وَبَوَّأَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَرْبَعاً
تَهُبُّblows بِهِin it رِيحُthe wind of الْمُنَىhopes عِطْرَfragrance of الشَّذَاsweet scent
تَهُبُّ بِهِ رِيحُ الْمُنَى عِطْرَ الشَّذَا
and grant him, on the Day of Resurrection, an abode
On the Day of Resurrection He will establish for him a square,
And settle him, on the Day of Resurrection, in a verdant abode,
where the wind of hopes blows with sweet fragrance,
Where the breeze of wishes will bring the fragrance of joy.
Where the breeze of hopes blows with a fragrant perfume,
وَأَسْكَنَهُand housed him مِنْfrom جَنَّةِthe Garden of الْخُلْدِeternity مَنْزِلاًa dwelling
وَأَسْكَنَهُ مِنْ جَنَّةِ الْخُلْدِ مَنْزِلاً
مَنُوطاًjoined بِخَيْرِto the best of الْخَلْقِcreation أَشْرَفِthe noblest of مَنْthose who هَدَىguided
مَنُوطاً بِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ أَشْرَفِ مَنْ هَدَى
and house him in a dwelling in the Garden of Eternity,
And He settled him in an eternal Paradise residence,
And lodge him in a dwelling within the Garden of Eternity,
joined to the best of creation, the noblest of those who guided.
Tied to the best of creation, the most noble guide.
Linked to the best of creation, the most noble of guides,
عَلَيْهِupon him صَلاَةُthe blessing of اللهِGod يَسْرِيwafts نَسِيمُهَاits breeze
عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةُ اللهِ يَسْرِي نَسِيمُهَا
وَآلِهِand his family وَالصَّحْبِand the Companions السُّرَاةِthe noble ones وَمَنْand those who تَلاَfollowed
وَآلِهِ وَالصَّحْبِ السُّرَاةِ وَمَنْ تَلاَ
Upon him be God's blessing, its breeze wafting,
Upon him the prayers of God flow gently,
Upon him be the blessings of God, whose gentle breeze flows,
and upon his family, the noble Companions, and those who followed.
And upon his family, and excellent companions, and those who followed.
And upon his family, his noble companions, and all who follow.
Sol 6.1
