وَأَنَارَتْ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّيَ فِكْرِي
Four letters cured the ailment of my breast,
Four letters have healed the affliction of my chest,
And, by my Lord's leave, illuminated my thought.
And illuminated, by the leave of my Lord, my mind,

They are the mīm of wishes, then the ḥāʾ of life,
They are the Meem of hopes, then the Haa of life,
Then the mīm of refuge from every evil,
Then the Meem of refuge from every evil,

And success, and ease after hardship.
And success, and ease after hardship.
