اللهُ فَضَّلَنَا عَلَى مَنْ قَبْلَنَا

اللهُ فَضَّلَنَا عَلَى مَنْ قَبْلَنَا

فَمَلِيكُنَا مَوْلاَيَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ

فَمَلِيكُنَا مَوْلاَيَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ

God has favored us over those who came before us.

God has favored us above those who came before us,

For our king is Moulay Ismail.

for our sovereign king is Moulay Ismail.

فَالشُّهْبُ مِنْ عَزَمَاتِهِ مَذْعُورَةٌ

فَالشُّهْبُ مِنْ عَزَمَاتِهِ مَذْعُورَةٌ

وَالْقَطْرُ يَحْسُدُ نَيْلَهُ وَالنِّيلُ

وَالْقَطْرُ يَحْسُدُ نَيْلَهُ وَالنِّيلُ

So the shooting stars are terrified by his resolve.

The shooting stars are terrified by his fierce resolve,

And the rain envies his bounty, as does the Nile.

and the falling rain envies his bounty, as does the river Nile.
