لِمَنْto whoever زَارَهُvisits it وَالْهُدَىand guidance شَافِعُan intercessor
The shrine of Abu Nafiʿ brings benefit
The sanctuary of Abu Nafi is truly beneficial,
To whoever visits it, and guidance intercedes.
For the one who visits it, with true guidance as an intercessor;
وَلاَand no سَيَّمَاthe like of مَنْone who بَنَىbuilt قُبَّةًa dome
بِهِat it نُورُlight بَهْجَتِهَاits splendor سَاطِعُshining
And especially whoever built a dome
And most especially for the one who built a dome,
There, with the light of its splendor shining.
From which the light of its radiant splendor shines forth.
فَذَاكَso that one الذِيwho يَرْتَوِيdrinks his fill عَلَلاًin repeated draughts
بِكَأْسِfrom a cup of مُنىًwishes بِرُّهُhis beneficence نَاقِعُthirst-quenching
So he is the one who drinks his fill, draught after draught,
For he is the one who quenches his thirst, draught after draught,
From a cup of wishes—his beneficence quenches thirst.
From a cup of aspirations whose pure goodness is deeply satisfying;
وَيَحْظَىand gains بِأَرْغَبِwith the most coveted of مَرْغُوبِهِwhat he desires

And gains the dearest object of his desire,
He shall attain the most coveted of all his desires,
And nothing bars him from lofty rank.
With no obstacle to restrain him from reaching eminence.

And by God's might he rises above
And he shall ascend, by the might of God, high above
An envier of him, whose eye sheds tears.
Every envier whose eyes are brought to resentful tears;

I have guaranteed him, on Abu Nafiʿ's behalf,
I guarantee him, on behalf of Abu Nafi,
The benefit the benefactor hopes for.
All the benefit that a seeker of good could ever hope for.
وَأَهْوِنْand how easy! بِذَاكَthat عَلَىfor جَاهِthe stature of مَنْone who
تَجَلَّىwas revealed لَنَاto us سِرُّهُhis secret الرَّائِعُwondrous
And how easy that is, given the stature of one
And how easily granted is this, by the high rank of the one
Whose wondrous secret has been revealed to us,
Whose awe-inspiring secret has been made manifest to us;
وَآيَاتُهُand his signs كُتِبَتْwere inscribed لِلْوَرَىfor humankind
عَلَىupon الْبَدْرِthe full moon فَهْوَso it بِهَاwith them طَالِعُrising
And whose signs were inscribed for humankind
Whose sacred signs were inscribed for all mankind
Upon the full moon; thus it rises bearing them.
Upon the full moon, so that it rises radiant with them.
