The breezes of loved ones are in this wind;
The breezes of loved ones in that wind
The breezes of the beloveds are within this wind,
and so it never ceases to revive my soul.
So it never stops reviving my soul
Therefore it never ceases to revive my soul.

Even if my absence from their heights has been long,
If my absence from their homes has been long
Even if my absence from their abodes has grown long,
yet my heart inclines toward them.
My heart still has wings towards them
My heart is ever inclined toward them.

Whenever the zephyrs blow from where they dwell
Whenever the gentle breezes blow from
their direction, it bends like a wind-blown bough.
It sways like a pliant branch
Their direction, it sways like a wind-swept branch.
