وَصْلِي وُصِلْتُمْ كَمَا وَصَلْتُمْ

وَصْلِي وُصِلْتُمْ كَمَا وَصَلْتُمْ

وَصُلْتُمْ مِثْلَ مَا عَلِمْتُمْ

وَصُلْتُمْ مِثْلَ مَا عَلِمْتُمْ

Union with me—may you be joined as you have joined,

My greeting reached you as you reached me,

May you be granted union just as you have bestowed union,

and may you prevail, just as you know—

You reached as I knew you would reach.

And may you prevail, just as you have always known how.

أيْسَرُ مِنْ لَمْحَةٍ بِطَرْفٍ

أيْسَرُ مِنْ لَمْحَةٍ بِطَرْفٍ

مَا كَانَ أَيْسَرَ مَا طَلَبْتُمْ

مَا كَانَ أَيْسَرَ مَا طَلَبْتُمْ

is easier than a glance of the eye.

Easier than a glance from an eyelid

It is easier than a mere glance of the eye,

How easy was what you requested!

Was what you reached though you sought the hardest.

How incredibly effortless was that which you sought.

فَقَدْ وَصَلْتُ وصُلْتُ مِمَّا

فَقَدْ وَصَلْتُ وصُلْتُ مِمَّا

بَرَيْتُمُ أسْهُمي وَرِشْتُمْ

بَرَيْتُمُ أسْهُمي وَرِشْتُمْ

For I have arrived and prevailed, because

So I have reached, reached from what

For I have attained union and prevailed through that which

you shaped my arrows and feathered them.

I feathered my arrows and you strung them.

You whittled of my arrows and fitted with feathers.

بَقِيتُمُ دُمْتًمُ سَلِمْتُمْ

بَقِيتُمُ دُمْتًمُ سَلِمْتُمْ

نَعِمْتُمُ فُزْتُمُ ظَفِرْتُمْ

نَعِمْتُمُ فُزْتُمُ ظَفِرْتُمْ

May you live on, endure, and remain safe.

You have stayed, you have lasted, you remain unharmed,

May you remain, may you endure, may you be safe.

May you live in ease, succeed, and triumph.

You have enjoyed, triumphed, conquered.

May you live in bliss, may you succeed, may you triumph.

وُفِّقْتُمُ فُقْتُمُ صَعِدْتُمْ

وُفِّقْتُمُ فُقْتُمُ صَعِدْتُمْ

أُيِّدْتُمُ صِنْتُمُ سَعِدْتًمْ

أُيِّدْتُمُ صِنْتُمُ سَعِدْتًمْ

May you be granted success, excel, and rise.

You have succeeded, spoken out, ascended,

May you be guided to success, may you excel, may you ascend.

May you be strengthened, protected, and happy.

You have been aided, protected, made fortunate.

May you be supported, may you be protected, may you find joy.

لاَ هُنْتُمُ لاَ وَلاَوَهَنْتُمْ

لاَ هُنْتُمُ لاَ وَلاَوَهَنْتُمْ

وَلاَ ضَعُفْتُمْ وَلاَ اسْتَكَنْتُمْ

وَلاَ ضَعُفْتُمْ وَلاَ اسْتَكَنْتُمْ

May you never be abased—never—nor grow feeble.

You weakened not, lost not heart,

May you never be disgraced, no, nor ever weaken,

Nor may you weaken or become submissive.

Nor became you feeble or gave in.

And may you never grow frail, nor ever yield,

وَلاَ خَسِرْتُمْ وَلاَ حَسَرْتُمْ

وَلاَ خَسِرْتُمْ وَلاَ حَسَرْتُمْ

وَلاَ خَصِرْتُمْ وَلاَ حُصِرْتُمْ

وَلاَ خَصِرْتُمْ وَلاَ حُصِرْتُمْ

Nor may you lose or grow weary.

You lost not, regretted not,

And may you never suffer loss, nor ever grieve,

Nor may you be chilled or hemmed in.

Were hemmed in not, besieged not.

And may you never suffer cold, nor ever be besieged.

وَاللهُُ يَقْضِي بِمَا سَيُرْضِي

وَاللهُُ يَقْضِي بِمَا سَيُرْضِي

مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنْ بِهِ اعْتَصَمْتُمْ

مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنْ بِهِ اعْتَصَمْتُمْ

And God decrees what will please you,

And God decrees what will please Him

And Allah decrees that which will surely please,

from His bounty, if you hold fast to Him.

Of His bounty if in Him you seek sanctuary.

From His boundless grace, if to Him you hold fast.
