فتكميلُها جدَّةُ العافيَهْ
When a blessing is renewed for a man,
If grace is renewed for a man,
Then fresh good health brings it to completion.
Then completing it is renewed good health.

وللَّه بعدُ يدٌ شافيه
And through gratitude its renewal is ordained;
And with gratitude its renewal was ordained,
And God, moreover, has a healing hand.
Afterwards God's hand is healing.

Were it purified, it would be purer still,
And if it were purified it would be purer for it,
But a man's worldly life is harsh.
But the world of the youth is arid.

And were there no clouded, murky blessing,
And were it not for the turbid vileness,
A pure one would not be valued at its worth.
Its value would not be ordained as pure.

And a man must undergo a trial
And a man must have affliction,
That dispels the temptation of his blessings.
To test the temptations of his blessings.

So patience and fresh health,
And safety through a full hundred years.
And safety to a hundred well-matched.

Whose disgraces are both manifest and hidden.
Concealed opponents in the wilderness.

I would have held forth to the very end of the rhyme.
I would have continued to the last rhyme.
