Through the nectar of your lips, relief is sought—
With your smile's light, a lover pleads,
—by one besotted with you, if you will grant him relief.
If you would quench his thirsting needs,
عاهدتَهُyou pledged to him أنthat لاnot تخوbetray (first part)

نَ فما لعهدِك قد نكثتَهْ
You promised him that you would not betray him—
You swore to him you'd ne'er betray,
—so what of your pledge? You have broken it.
Yet now you've turned your word away.
