هديةٌ تكسِبُ شكراً عاجلا
The wealth most worthy of being bestowed
The worthiest wealth is that which makes its owner generous,
is a gift that earns prompt thanks.
A gift that elicits prompt gratitude,

So hasten now to earn praise in full;
So now bestow complete praise,
you will find thought’s teat brimming with it.
And reap behind the thought abundant rewards.

If you oblige a needy friend in trouble,

With a request which a beggar implored,
Rather, a worthy man has met with worthy thanks.
But excel and harmonize with excellent thanks,
