لم يُصفِّ الدواءُ جسمَكَ إلا

عن صفاءٍ كما يكونُ الصفاءُ

The medicine proved agreeable to your body only

The medicine cleansed your body only

through a purity like purity itself.

out of pure goodwill, as goodwill should be.

فلأعدائِك البشاعة منه

فلأعدائِك البشاعة منه

ولكَ النفعُ دونَهم والشفاءُ

ولكَ النفعُ دونَهم والشفاءُ

May its repulsiveness be for your enemies,

So its unpleasantness is for your enemies,

and its benefit and healing be yours alone, not theirs.
