She visited you after sleep, though she seldom visits,

Between the male ostrich and the gazelle fawn’s lair.

So her wafts of fragrance after slumber seemed

The wafts of a wind, slow-blowing and spent.

It said, with its last strength, ‘Our night-halt is here,’

    Gently driving a perfume-laden caravan from a far-off, rain-soaked pasture.
