أنتyou ليto me مولىًa master ظلومٌgreatly unjust
أنت لي مولىً ظلومٌ
لاnot تكافئنيyou reward me بعشقيfor my love
لا تكافئني بعشقي
You are my master—but unjustly;
You are a tyrannical master to me;
Do not repay me thus for my love.
You do not reward me for my love.
غيرyet أنيthat I بكwith you صبdeeply in love
غير أني بك صب
شهدbore witness اللهGod بصدقيto my sincerity
شهد الله بصدقي
Yet I am passionately enamored of you;
Yet I am deeply in love with you;
God bears witness that I speak true.
God bears witness to my sincerity.
أيهاO you القائلwho says صبراًbe patient
أيها القائل صبراً
طالhas lasted long بيfor me صبريmy patience ورفقيand my gentleness
طال بي صبري ورفقي
O you who say, “Be patient,”
O you who say, 'Be patient!'
My patience—and my bondage—have lasted too long.
My patience and gentleness have lasted too long.
جعلmay make اللهGod مليكيmy sovereign

في جنان الخلد رزقي
