قد أخلق الناس الهدايا كلها

إلا الكلام فإنه لم يَخلَقِ

People have already worn out all gifts,

People have created all gifts,

Except speech, for it has not worn out.

Except for words, for they were not made.

فجعلت إهدائي إليك قصيدة

فجعلت إهدائي إليك قصيدة

بكراً بخاتم ربها لم تفتقِ

بكراً بخاتم ربها لم تفتقِ

So I have made my gift to you a poem,

So my gift to you is a poem,

A virgin, with her master's seal still unbroken.

Pure, with the seal of its Lord unbroken.
