أباO father of الصقرِthe falcon قدindeed أصبحتَyou have become فيin ظلّthe shade of نعمةٍa blessing
إليهاto it انتهىreached its limit تأميلُthe aspiration of كُلّevery مؤمّلِhopeful person
O Abu al-Saqr, you have come to dwell in the shade of a blessing,
O Abu Al-Saqr, you have come to live in the shade of a blessing
the ultimate goal of every hopeful soul's aspiration.
To which the hopes of all hopeful ones have come to an end
فدونَكso before you ظلُّthe shade of المستديمِone seeking permanence لظلِّهاfor its shade
وإنْand although كنتَyou are فيهin it دائباًdiligent غيرَnot مُؤتليslackening
Before you, then, lies the shade of one who seeks to perpetuate its shade,
For you is the shade that lasts forever in its shadow
though you are diligent in this, never slackening.
Even if you are constantly residing in it without tiring
وماand not دعَمَpropped up الأقوامُthe peoples ظُلَّةَthe canopy of نَعمةٍa blessing
بمثلِwith the like of مُحقٍّa deserving person تحتهاbeneath it متظلّلِsheltering in the shade
And no people have ever propped up a blessing's canopy
And no people have supported the shade of a blessing
with the like of a deserving man sheltering beneath it.
With a more rightful claim, while taking shelter beneath it
