خالدٌ أمُّها وأنتَ أبوها

خالدٌ أمُّها وأنتَ أبوها

فاتَّقِ اللَّهَ أيها الشوكيُّ

هي بنتٌ ولدتُماها جميعاً

She is a daughter you both brought forth together.

She is a girl you both gave birth to,

ما حَنِقنا عليكَ وهو عدوٌّ

مُوفقٌ سَهمُه وأنت الوليُّ

فاستريحا من التنازعِ فيها

قد جلا الشُّبهةَ البيانُ الخفيُّ

قد جلا الشُّبهةَ البيانُ الخفيُّ

So both of you rest from disputing over her;

So rest from contending over her,
