If I am a man who gets slapped, yet own an estate,

while you are Badhbakht and never get slapped,

then you are the one called an “estate,”

for its owner is the one most lost.

By my life, this is a wondrous wonder,

O you whose nape is a spectacle to see and hear!

If what you said were true, then wealth

would harm, and poverty would be what helps.

I shoved your mother in the arse—

if what you said can ward that off.

Woe to you, how generous a wearer you are!

Do you take off everything you put on?

Not everyone who has a trait

has people ascribe it to him as you do.
