غَضارتُهُhis youthful bloom ظنَّthought السوادَthe blackness خضاباhair dye
If a man's black hair lasts, but not
If a man's black hair endures though his freshness fades away,
his youthful bloom, one takes that blackness for dye.
He fancies the blackness is dye to make old age gay.
فكيفthen how يظنُّhe thinks الشيخُthe old man أنthat خضابَهُhis hair dye

Then how does an old man think that his dye
How comes it the old man fancies the dye on his hair
will be taken for naturally black hair, or mistaken for youth?
Can make people believe he is young, and drive off gray hair?
