His appearance describes his true nature,

    threatening evil, not promising good.

He keeps a vigilant eye upon his loaves,

yet his eye sleeps where his wife is concerned.

Do not reproach him: if he guarded her privates,

his arsehole would have no market.

May the Merciful strike him down—what a scribe,

in whom the incoming letters are stored!

And may the Creator uproot him from His creation,

for he is an excrescence in His creation.

The hens he kept were infected by his miserliness

and the baseness of that thankless nature.

So his ten hens came to

lay just one egg among them.

And he fed them not a speck

that could be discerned, save the table's leavings—

    rather, the stomach's leavings, which

    his rotten stomach scatters.

O ten arseholes with a single egg,

congratulations on catching that noble trait!

May no grave be empty of his kind,

and may no mother rise from childbed with one like him.
